This Privacy Policy explains how Yian ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information through the Yian mobile app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information through the app or its third-party services:

Email address (when signing up via email/password)
Push notification token (for sending reminders)
Device information (e.g., model, OS, language)
IP address and Advertising ID (via AdMob)
Usage data related to app interactions and ad impressions

2. User Accounts and Authentication

If you sign up using an email address and password, your credentials are securely handled by Firebase Authentication. We do not store your password. Firebase stores your email, user ID (UID), and account creation time.

3. Push Notifications

We use Expo Push Notifications to deliver reminders and other updates. We collect a device-specific push token for this purpose. This token is stored securely and is not used for tracking or profiling.

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect information such as your IP address, device info, advertising ID, and usage data to:

Serve personalized ads
Measure ad performance
Prevent fraud and abuse

5. Data Storage

Most data you enter (daily entries, events, tags, etc.) is stored locally on your device. If you log in with email, some metadata (like UID or push token) may be stored in Firestore.

6. Opting Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt out of personalized ads via your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

7. Children's Privacy

Yian is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You can manage personalized ad preferences in your device settings. You may also delete your account or data by contacting us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
